We invite you to attend our upcoming webinar, Enhancing security for education with Data#3 and Silverfort.

The frequency of ransomware attacks targeting educational institutions has surged significantly over the past year, displaying no indications of slowing down. According to Microsoft, a staggering 97% of ransomware infections manage to infiltrate a system within a mere four hours, with some achieving this in as little as 45 minutes.

Exploiting the vulnerabilities of educational institutions’ often outdated systems and their limited cybersecurity resources, threat actors recognise the challenges these institutions face in safeguarding both legacy systems and student data. Concurrently, insurers have recently heightened their criteria for qualifying for cyber insurance policies, posing an additional formidable hurdle for administrators and IT personnel.

Silverfort extends modern identity security controls such as Conditional Access and MFA (using your existing solutions like Microsoft Entra ID), to resources that couldn’t be protected before, such as legacy applications – including command-line interfaces, service accounts (non-human identities), critical infrastructure, and more – without having to modify them.

Learn how to safeguard your organisation by joining Data#3 and Silverfort to hear about our Better Together story. Joining us also, Chris McLean from Westminster School Adelaide will talk about the advantages he’s seen from the organisation’ s integration with Silverfort, helping enhance the capabilities of their Microsoft 365 A5 licenses.

Clear for Take-off: A Guide to Microsoft 365 Copilot Preparedness

Microsoft are not one to shy away from investing in big tech – and their newest tech innovation – M365 Copilot – is touted as the “Clippie glow-up on the century”.

Make no mistake about it – M365 Copilot will fundamentally change how we create and use information every day at work! M365 Copilot will harness the power of AI, to turn your words into the most powerful productivity tool on the planet!

In this session, a team of Data#3 and Microsoft Solution Specialists will take you on a journey – from discussing what Copilot is, to how it will revolutionise the way you work – but perhaps more importantly – how you can (and should) be preparing for deployment of Copilot within your M365 environment. There are some critical steps along the path to Copilot adoption that must be reached – or you will find yourself up the proverbial creek without a paddle.

With a focus on readiness, together we’ll delve into the importance of information governance, AI policies and the location of your data. We will also look at an often-dismissed aspect – how the hardware your users are running affects their experience of M365 Copilot (either negatively or positively).

Let us guide you through this journey to make sure you are clear for take-off!

Achieving Government Cyber Security Uplift: Has the Era of the Essential 8 Come to a Close?

As the Government looks to release the next Cyber Security Strategy, with the laudable goal of being the most cyber secure nation in the world, a pivotal emphasis must be placed on the enhancement of ICT infrastructure across Government. The Australian Cyber Security Centre’s (ACSC) Essential 8 (E8) have long been positioned as a beacon for organisations to shield themselves against a multitude of cyber threats.

In recent years, the Government has promoted these prioritised mitigation strategies as the cyber security standard for all organisations, and has dedicated substantial resources to the promotion and adoption of the E8 across the Federal Government. Nonetheless, the E8 does carry certain limitations and while their implementation can be instrumental in preventing threats, it often presents formidable challenges and substantial costs for most organisations to implement these mitigations effectively.

This presentation will evaluate the efficacy of the E8 in achieving ICT Uplift and discuss what (if any) additional or alternative cyber security mitigations/guidance may be needed to enhance the Government’s ICT posture.
