The total economic impact of Dell Technologies PowerScale
In June 2020, Dell Technologies commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study and examine the potential return on investment companies can realise by deploying Dell Technologies’ PowerScale OneFS powered systems (formerly known as Isilon).
Key Findings:
Organisations experience cost savings of $15.3 million over 3 years including:
Storage cost optimisation saves $12,349,240
Storage management efficiencies saves $1,306,446
Data Centre space savings eliminate $199,113
Business value added equals $1,460,556
Businesses used more of the storage available to them, increasing from 63% average usage to 85% utilisation with PowerScale.
Administrators across the study group managed on average 500 terabytes of data each prior to deploying PowerScale. With PowerScale installed each admin can manage 5 petabytes of data.
