Data#3 recognised as worldwide winner of 2022 Microsoft Device Distributor/Reseller Partner of the Year award

June 29, 2022; Brisbane, Australia: Leading Australian technology services and solutions provider, Data#3, today announced it has been named the 2022 Microsoft Device Distributor/Reseller Partner of the Year.

The company was honoured among a global field of top Microsoft partners for demonstrating excellence in innovation and implementation of customer solutions based on Microsoft technology.

Data#3 Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Laurence Baynham, commented, “For an Australian company to be recognised by Microsoft on the global stage is a huge achievement. Our continued growth and investment in Microsoft, combined with our synchronised strategies, ensures customers are maximising the value they can extract from their Microsoft technology. It is particularly pleasing that our Device as a Service (DaaS) is seen a world leader. Congratulations to the entire Data#3 and Microsoft team.”

The Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards recognise Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered outstanding Microsoft-based applications, services and devices during the past year. Awards were classified in various categories, with honourees chosen from a set of more than 3,900 submitted nominations from more than 100 countries worldwide.

Data#3 was recognised for providing outstanding ‘as a Service solutions, including Data#3’s Device as a Service (DaaS) and Meeting Room as a Service, through which customers can convert their Capex spend to Opex, gain agility and free up resources. These lifecycle solutions provide cradle-to-grave services, including financing, procurement, installation and/or deployment, managed services and disposal that can be bundled with software subscriptions.

“We observed the market shift to the modern device management construct with a customer desire to procure devices using a lifecycle approach. Customers are seeking a service that frees up resources and cash flow to direct to other initiatives, and provides a predictable cost basis,” said Paula Fountain, National Practice Manager for DaaS at Data#3.

“To fulfil this customer desire, we accelerated our transformation journey uniting our end user devices business with our software subscription and services businesses,” commented, Scott Gosling, National Practice Manager for Microsoft at Data#3. “Our innovative ‘as a Service models simplify device procurement, ultimately helping our customers to achieve their digital future. This award reflects the huge effort of our highly experienced and dedicated team – congratulations to all.”

“I am honoured to announce the winners and finalists of the 2022 Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards,” said Nick Parker, corporate vice president of Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft. “These partners were outstanding among the exceptional pool of nominees, and I’m continuously impressed by their innovative use of Microsoft Cloud technologies and the impact for their customers.”
