Virtualisation Solutions fuel growth across IBM’s infrastructure portfolio.
BRISBANE, Australia — 11 June 2008 — Data#3 Limited (ASX:DTL), Australia’s Integrator of the Year in 2007, was announced today as IBM’s 2007 System x Business Partner of the Year for Australia and New Zealand. This award adds to a long list of IBM awards that Data#3 has won over recent years.

Mr Grant explained that Data#3’s success in IBM’s System x Intel based platform was primarily driven by the explosion of virtualisation, concern for the environment and disaster recovery requirements of customers. The IBM System x Business Partner of the Year award is given to IBM business partners who demonstrate significant expertise and capability in delivering IBM solutions using System x server technology to solve customers’ problems such as reducing costs, reducing carbon footprint and ensuring business continuity.
According to Bruce Crouch, General Manager for Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions, Data#3, the award shows that Data#3’s decision to continue investment in data centre expertise and capability is the right one. “With increasing demand for next generation data centre solutions which take advantage of virtualisation technologies, IBM’s System x platform is well positioned to serve as a robust foundation for service delivery.” said Mr Crouch.
