Data#3 Licensing Solutions opens in Perth

New office provides foundation for continuing expansion

BRISBANE, Australia — 13 March 2008 — Data#3 Limited [ASX: DTL], a national information and communications technology (ICT) company, today announced that it has expanded to Western Australia with the official opening of a new office in Perth to support its specialist Software Licensing Solutions business. While Licensing will be its initial focus it is anticipated expansion into other solutions and services will occur in the future.

According to Data#3 Managing Director John Grant, the setting up of its Licensing Solutions business in Perth is a key part of Data#3’s recent expansion.

“With a growing market in Western Australia linked to the buoyant resources sector and with the opportunity to recruit a team of specialists closely connected to the Perth business community, we felt that this was a great time to invest. It introduces us to a number of new customers and further strengthens our position as a leader in our industry,” said Mr Grant. Mr Grant added that having local offices allows Data#3 to deliver better service on the ground to customers in that region. Data#3 has been providing ICT solutions to the market for over 20 years nationwide.

“In the wake of the redundancies from Commander we were fortunate to be able to bring on the most experienced software licensing team in the State,” Data#3 General Manager for Licensing Solutions Brad Colledge said.

The Perth office will be led by Marla Bell and a team of experienced software licensing executives. Prior to joining Data#3, Ms Bell worked at the Commander Group where she managed their software business. During her career, Ms Bell has developed, managed and maintained many licensing solutions for public and private companies.

“We are pleased to have Marla and her team on board. Their experience in the software licensing area combined with our unique offerings will see us delivering a more personalised and complete solution to our customers. I believe Marla and her team will further grow our
presence in Perth and the rest of Western Australia,” Mr Colledge said, adding that the WA branch has the highest number of experienced licensing experts in the WA market.

Data#3 is a leader in the licensing market and has won numerous awards such as the Microsoft Large Account Reseller of the year and the World Wide Award for Software Asset Management. Software vendors such as Microsoft, Symantec, Citrix and Adobe and hardware vendors such as HP, IBM and Cisco have welcomed Data#3’s expansion into these locations.

The company reported an exceptional half year result last month with total revenue of up to $157.3 million, a 16 per cent increase in growth from last year results. In a recent Press statement, Mr Grant said Data#3’s licensing solution business did exceptionally well, recording growth of 25 percent and achieving total revenue of $62.4 million.

The new office in Perth joins other Data#3 locations across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Townsville, Rockhampton, Gladstone and New Caledonia.
