Gains share in a difficult market with revenue up approximately 45%
BRISBANE, Australia – 15 January 2009 – Data#3 Limited [ASX: DTL], a national information and communications technology (ICT) company, today confirmed that the profit for the first half of 2008/09 is expected to be consistent with previous guidance. The Board announced at the AGM on 12 November 2008 that the forecast for the half year was on track to exceed the exceptional result of the 2007/08 first half.
While yet to be finalised and reviewed by the company’s auditors, an estimated profit before tax of around $5.8M is expected for the first half of 2008/09. This represents an increase of approximately 10% on the 2007/08 first half result of $5.3M. Revenue is expected to increase approximately 45% with contributions from both its geographic expansion into South Australia and Western Australia early last year and its core eastern states’ business. The company indicated that its software licensing business had led this growth offsetting flat revenues in its recruitment business.
The Board indicated its intention to continue dividend payout rates similar to those of the previous year and will announce the final first half results and the interim dividend on 23 February 2009.
