Data#3 Appoints Former IBM Australia & NZ MD Glen Boreham as Non-Executive Director

BRISBANE, Tuesday 8 November 2011: Australian Information and Communications Technology leader Data#3 Limited (ASX: DTL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Glen Boreham to its board of directors.

With a career spanning 25 years at IBM, Mr Boreham was the Managing Director of the local subsidiary – IBM Australia and New Zealand, for the last 5 years stepping down in January 2011. He successfully led Australia’s largest IT company – a business with annual revenue of over $4 billion and 15,000 employees – growing at over twice the rate of the IT market while doubling profit and achieving record new business signings.

While at IBM, he gained substantial global experience having worked for two years in Japan in Asia Pacific roles and over six years in Europe with responsibilities covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In June 2008, Boreham was appointed as the inaugural Chair of Screen Australia, and in March 2011 was announced as the Chair of the Australian Government’s Convergence Review.

Twice in recent years he was named by the Australian Financial Review as one of the top five most powerful leaders in the information industries.

“Glen’s industry experience at the highest level will prove invaluable for Data#3 as we meet the challenges and opportunities of growing our business in the years ahead. Our customers, our shareholders and our people will benefit from the skills and experience he brings,” said Richard Anderson, Data#3 Chairman.

“Data#3 is a great Australian success story, with a longstanding record of leadership in bringing the best information and communication technology solutions to Australian businesses. I am delighted to join Data#3’s board of directors and look forward to playing a part in its future success,” commented Boreham.

Mr Boreham’s appointment is effective from 9 November 2011.
