Data#3 announced as Microsoft’s Worldwide Security Partner of the Year

Awarded for deployment of secure training environment that supports 80,000 emergency services volunteers

BRISBANE, Australia — 25 June 2009 — Data#3 Limited [ASX: DTL], a national technology company today announced it has been selected as Microsoft’s Worldwide Security Solutions – Infrastructure Security Partner of the Year.

The award, presented at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in the United States, recognises Data#3’s global leadership in developing innovative and secure workforce access solutions that meet unique customer needs using Microsoft technologies.

Data#3 was recognised for an Edge Security Solution deployed with the Queensland Department of Community Safety (formerly the Department of Emergency Services). The solution deployed Microsoft’s Intelligent Access Gateway appliance and ISA Server and has dramatically improved service delivery to the almost 80 000 emergency services volunteers across the geographically dispersed state of Queensland.

“Microsoft is proud to recognise Data#3 as the Security Solutions and Infrastructure Security Partner of the Year,” said Carlos Lopes, General Manager, Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners Group, Microsoft Asia Pacific. “Data#3 has created innovative identity and security solutions for their clients to tie security strategies to their overall business objectives. Data#3’s solutions mirror Microsoft’s Business Ready Security strategy, and have increased the richness of content available to their customers. Additionally, Data#3 has helped their customers lower cost, save time spent on service desk calls, and improved the security of their content publications.”

John Grant, Data#3’s Managing Director said “We were very proud to have built a solution that is having a considerable impact on the day to day lives of the volunteers who deliver our emergency services. To now have it acknowledged as best in class globally by Microsoft is fantastic and testimony to the faith of our customer, the Queensland Department of Community Safety, to the expertise of our team and to the commitment we made three years ago to invest with Microsoft in their security platform.”

The award is the latest in a long line of Microsoft Partner awards for Data#3. On the same global stage in 2006, Data#3 were awarded Microsoft’s Worldwide Software Asset Management Partner of the year. Locally Data#3 is the current Microsoft Australia Software Licensing, Software Asset Management, and Security Solutions Partner of the Year.
