Ways in which an ICT Reseller can add value

Many people view ICT Resellers as simply a “pass through” mechanism by which they acquire software and hardware, but that view significantly undersells the many benefits an ICT Reseller can bring your organisation.

When purchasing hardware, your ICT Reseller can be involved in specifying what it is you actually need to purchase. Rather than you performing both the analysis of your needs and the potential products that meet those needs, your ICT Reseller can:

  • Help you identify the sizing and functionality requirements needed now
  • Fast-track the process of identifying available market solutions
  • Steer you towards the products that they know are best-performing and best-supported, based on their experience with other clients
  • Can acquire volume discounts for customers that can’t typically be accessed.

For software, the benefits can be even greater. The complexity of software licensing these days – with single application licensing, pick-and-mix licensing for applications within a suite and enterprise licensing under various models – means that simply understanding what vendor licensing is available is time-consuming.
