Trends in Outsourcing

This session with discuss the latest developments in the outsourcing space; from the move from monolithic outsourcing contracts to multiple smaller agreements (and why this is a good thing) to the new term multisourcing. Multisourcing is a strategy that treats a given function, like IT, as a portfolio of functions, some of which should be outsourced and others of which should be performed by internal staff. This approach moves away from the idea that all of a function should be viewed as a commodity, easily handed over to a service provider. Also known as "selective sourcing." Is this approach right for you? Should elements of your portfolio of functions be outsourced with this approach? This session will seek to highlight the issues and some insights into how customers are addressing these challenges.
